At 10 by 7-1/2 inches and 42 ounces, ML-610 is the largest of the three plain rectangular bowls in Main Land and the one sized for the table rather than the cover. Forty-two ounces is a little over five cups: a shared salad for three, a rice service for a party of four, or a vegetable side on a family-style menu.

Its proportions stay close to the two smaller rectangles, so a buffet can run all three in a stepped row and read as a deliberate set rather than an accident of stock. The deeper well also lets it carry a soup course when that goes out to be shared.
