Six and a half inches across and a full five inches tall, the MD-306 is almost as deep as it is wide. That unusual proportion is the point: twenty-six ounces sit in a narrow column rather than spread thin, so soup, pho broth or a generous portion of rice stays hot longer than it would in a wide bowl.

The tall wall also makes it stable on a tray at the shoulder. It occupies a different slot from the shallow sheer bowls in the same pattern, which hold similar volumes across a much larger diameter. Two dozen fill a carton.
