Half an inch over the nine inch round, the MA-9 dinner plate is the middle of Mayor's three dinner sizes and the usual default for a full entree with a starch and a vegetable.

One inch of depth, a quarter more than the nine inch body carries, gives it slightly more containment for anything with a sauce. The narrow rim is what makes the extra half inch count, because almost all of it lands in the well rather than on the border. Two dozen to a case is the quantity a kitchen reorders against breakage rather than the one it opens with.
