Yanco MA-13 Mayor Chinaware 11-1/2" x 9-1/2" Narrow Rim Oval Platter, Bright White — Case of 12 (1 dz)

Eleven and a half by nine and a half is the smaller of Mayor's two oval platters, and the size at which the pattern crosses into genuine serving territory.

It carries a whole roast chicken, a half rack, a family-style vegetable or a mixed grill for two, and the nine and a half inch width is unusually broad for the length, so round items do not hang over the sides. One inch of depth holds a little juice without turning the piece into a dish. Twelve to a case is the serving-ware quantity, which suits a room that needs far fewer platters than plates.
