Yanco LY-405 Lyon Chinaware 5-1/2" x 3-3/4" x 1-3/8" Oval Side Dish 5 oz, Beige — Case of 36 (3 dz)

The LY-405 holds the same five ounces as Lyon's triangular sauce dish but spreads it across a longer, shallower oval — five and a half inches by three and three-quarters, rising one and three-eighths. That shape suits things meant to be seen rather than dipped into: olives, cornichons, a few slices of cured lemon, a butter curl and sea salt.

As a side dish it fills the gap between a cover and the bread service without crowding either, and the oval plan reads correctly when it is set down alongside the other Lyon ovals on the same table.
