Yanco LY-404BU Lyon-Blue Chinaware 4-3/4" x 4-3/8" x 1-5/8" Triangle Sauce Dish 5 oz, Blue — Case of 36 (3 dz)

Three corners and three short walls concentrate the glaze in a way no round piece can: on this sauce dish the blue runs dark into each of the three points and stays lighter along the middle of each side. At under five inches across, the pattern is still easy to read from a seated position.

A pale sauce — aioli, a yoghurt dip, drawn butter — sits in the centre against that darker triangular outline. The interior corners are rounded rather than sharp, so a spoon reaches the bottom of the sauce dish, and the glaze runs continuous over them with no dry edge to trap residue.
