A triangle with softened corners, four and three-quarter inches on its long side and five ounces to the brim. The LY-404 sauce dish is for what arrives beside the main item: aioli, a chilli dipping sauce, olive oil and balsamic, a spoonful of pickled shallots.

The triangular plan is the practical part — three of them close up into a neat cluster on a larger piece where three round dishes would leave gaps between them. A one-and-five-eighths-inch wall gives the sauce dish enough depth that a prawn can be dipped without pushing anything over the side.
