Past ten inches the Lyon ovals become servers, and the LY-2112 is the smaller of the two oval platters: twelve inches by eight and a quarter, with a one-and-a-quarter-inch wall. It is the size that lands a whole fish, a rack carved into chops, or a shared main for two in the middle of a table.

The coupe curve runs unbroken to the lip, so a server can tilt and slide rather than lift food over a rim shelf. Wall depth is the part that matters in service: it holds pan juices on an oval platter that is going to be carried at an angle.
