Yanco LY-110BU Lyon-Blue Chinaware 10-1/2" x 1-5/8" Trapezoid Dinner Plate, Blue — Case of 12 (1 dz)

This trapezoid dinner plate has an upright wall and a broad flat floor, and the two surfaces take the glaze quite differently. The floor fires to an even mid blue; the wall, where the glaze lies thinner over an edge, lightens noticeably, so the piece appears to carry a lighter border without one having been applied.

Across a dining room of a dozen covers that reads as a consistent band at eye level. A protein with a dark crust sits well inside it. The four corners hold a little more colour and catch overhead light, which is what gives this dinner plate its outline from across a table.
