The LB-212 is the lion bouillon bowl on its own, without a cover: 5-3/4 by 4-3/4 inches across the handles, 3-1/2 inches tall, 12 ounces to the brim. The two lion masks are cast into the body at nine and three o'clock, which gives a server somewhere to hold when the soup has been crusted with cheese under the broiler.

Twelve ounces is a single appetizer portion of French onion, a cup of chowder, or a baked mac and cheese for one. It is the entry size of the three uncovered lion vessels, with the LB-215 three ounces up and the LB-232 holding nearly three times as much. Bright white chinaware handles oven heat, and the handles stay thin enough that two dozen pack sensibly in a carton.
