Four and three-quarter inches across holding three and a half ounces, the shallower of the two fruit bowls Jersey makes. The capacity on this fruit bowl is kept small on purpose: it is a portion-control dish, not a serving vessel.

A scoop of fruit cocktail, apple sauce, a single-serve yoghurt turned out, a dish of olives, a side of pickles on a deli plate. Cafeterias and tray lines use it because the volume is fixed by the shape, so a server cannot over-portion by eye. Its sibling the JS-505 holds two ounces more in a half-inch wider round; between them a kitchen can run two portion sizes off one pattern. Three dozen to the case.
