Yanco JP-5075 Japanese Melamine 9" Soup Bowl 48 oz, Sand — Case of 24 (2 dz)

Forty eight ounces, a quart and a half, in a nine inch bowl. The JP-5075 is a serving bowl in soup clothing: a tureen portion shared by a table of two or three, a family-size noodle soup, or a bowl of rice brought out whole and portioned at the table rather than plated in the kitchen.

Two dozen to a case rather than the four dozen the smaller soup bowls ship in. Against the eight inch bowl it gains twelve ounces; against the ten inch it gives up twenty. Melamine keeps the weight down at this diameter, which tells when a server is carrying two filled bowls at once.
