Yanco JP-5050 Japanese Melamine 5" Soup Bowl 14 oz, Sand — Case of 48 (4 dz)

Fourteen ounces in a five inch bowl, more than the five and a half inch soup bowl in the same pattern holds. The JP-5050 trades width for depth, so it takes a full serving of soup in a footprint that still fits a crowded tray: udon broth, a thick miso, a corn potage served before a main.

Four dozen to a case. The step up from here is the six inch bowl at eighteen ounces, so there is a clear gap between a soup course and a soup that is lunch. Melamine does not draw heat the way thin china does, so a filled bowl can be set in front of a guest without a liner plate underneath it.
