Yanco JP-3008 Japanese Melamine 4-1/2" Soup Bowl 8 oz, Sand — Case of 48 (4 dz)

Eight ounces in a four and a half inch round makes the JP-3008 the smallest of the eight soup bowls Yanco builds in the Japanese pattern. That is a broth course rather than a main-course soup: a miso, a clear soup to open a meal, or a side of dashi sent out alongside a noodle dish.

Specifications

• SKU: JP-3008
• Piece: Soup Bowl
• Dimensions: 4-1/2" diameter
• Capacity: 8 oz
• Material: Melamine
• Color: Sand
• Pattern: Japanese
• Care: Dishwasher safe, break-resistant

A small diameter means a small surface, so soup held here gives up its heat more slowly than it would in the eight or nine inch bowls further up the range. Four dozen to a case. The melamine body is break-resistant and goes through a commercial dish machine without crazing, which matters for an item handled on every cover.
