Yanco JP-2012 Japanese Melamine 12" x 9" Oval Platter, Sand — Case of 12 (1 dz)
At 12" by 9", JP-2012 crosses from plate into platter: this is the piece food gets passed on, not eaten off. Nine inches of width across a twelve-inch length gives a genuinely usable serving field — a whole fish, a family portion of yakisoba, an assortment of grilled skewers laid in rows.
It is the largest oval in the Japanese pattern and the only one packed a single dozen to the case, which is the right quantity for a serving piece. Melamine matters more here than on a small plate: a loaded 12" platter is heavy, and a melamine body takes the drop that would end a chinaware one. Sand with the abstract Japanese print, dishwasher safe.
