Yanco JP-1006 Japanese Melamine 6" Round Plate, Sand — Case of 48 (4 dz)
At 6" across, JP-1006 is the smallest of the five plain rounds in the Japanese pattern and the one that ends up carrying dessert, a single mochi, or a side of pickles next to a rice bowl. Six inches is also the width of the JP-1338 saucer, so a tea service can run the two together, one under the cup and one holding the sweet.
A plate this size takes heavy rotation in a cafeteria or a buffet line, which is where melamine earns its keep: it comes back from the dish machine without the chipped edges a thin porcelain round of the same diameter collects. Four dozen to the case, finished in Sand with the collection’s abstract Japanese print.
