Yanco IB-308 Iris Blue Chinaware 8-3/8" x 2" Bowl 30 oz, Light Blue — Case of 24 (2 dz)

An 8-3/8 inch bowl with a 2 inch wall and 30 ounces of working capacity. The broad-and-shallow proportion is the pasta-and-salad geometry: wide enough to toss in, shallow enough that a portion spreads out and shows rather than burying itself.

Against the 6-3/8 this holds two thirds again as much, and against the 9-1/4 it is nearly an inch narrower and a quarter inch shallower. Kitchens use it for a main-course salad or a single portion of dressed pasta. Two dozen to a case. The speckled blue field is visible around the edge of a plated portion, which is part of why the shape is kept shallow. Dishwasher and microwave safe.
