Fourteen and a quarter inches by nine, an inch and an eighth deep. This is the carving platter, for a whole fish, a rack, a roast bird with its garnish, or a buffet line's worth of grilled vegetables, and at nine inches across the waist it still passes through a standard pass window.

Set against the twelve-inch oval it gains two and a quarter inches of length and an inch and a half of width, which together add about forty percent to the serving surface. A dozen to a case; reheat it in the microwave, wash it in a commercial machine.
