Six and five-eighths inches is the dessert and side size in Green Band, a half-step above the GB-5 bread plate and a half-step below the seven and one-eighth inch GB-7. That extra width tells when a plate has to carry a slice of pie with a scoop beside it rather than bread alone.

Depth is seven-eighths of an inch, enough of a well to stop a sauce running out to the lip. Kitchens that stock both this and the GB-7 usually split them by course, sending the smaller round out with coffee and keeping the larger for salads. Both carry an identical banded rim, so they stack and read together on a shelf.
