Yanco GB-5 Green Band Chinaware 5-1/2" Plate, American White — Case of 36 (3 dz)

At five and a half inches across and three-quarters of an inch deep, this is the bread and butter plate in the Green Band line — the piece that goes to the left of the cover and holds a roll, a pat of butter and nothing else. It is the shallowest of the round plates in the pattern, which keeps a column of them low in a plate warmer.

The next round up starts at six and five-eighths inches with the GB-6, so a house that wants a side plate doubling as a small dessert plate should step up rather than across. The green line runs close to the edge and stays visible under a folded napkin.
