Yanco GB-4 Green Band Chinaware 4" Bouillon 7.25 oz, American White — Case of 36 (3 dz)

A four-inch bouillon holding seven and a quarter ounces in two and a quarter inches of depth — a cup-shaped bowl for broth, consommé, or a soup course sent ahead of the main. The narrow mouth relative to that depth is what separates it from a nappie of similar volume: less exposed surface, so the broth stays hot through a course.

It is grouped with the bowls rather than the drinkware because it reaches the table on an under-plate with a spoon, not on a saucer. The GB-6 or GB-7 round makes a sensible under-plate at this diameter, and the matching rim line keeps the pairing looking deliberate.
