The eight and three-eighths inch round is the luncheon plate here: an inch deep and sized for a plated entrée that does not need the sweep of a full dinner plate. It is the largest round plate in Green Band that still ships thirty-six to a carton — everything wider drops to twenty-four or twelve.

Set against the nine inch GB-8 this plate gives up a little surface and gains carton count. The green band sits just inside the edge, framing what is centred without crowding a garnish.
