Fourteen by ten inches is the standard canteen footprint, and the FT-1014 is Yanco's fiberglass version of it: a flat brown rectangle with no grip cut-outs, meant to be pushed along a tray rail and stacked at the return. The surface takes a plate, a bowl, a drink and cutlery in the layout a serving line expects a diner to build.

Fiberglass reinforcement is what lets the body stay at five-eighths of an inch and still carry a loaded tray across its unsupported middle. A thinner section means a taller stack in the same shelf depth, which matters when a dish return holds several hundred trays between clearances. Two dozen to a case.
