The FH-14 is the wide end of Yanco's French handled dish run: a shallow round baker 13-3/4 inches across the well, with two short lug handles cast into the rim so it can be carried straight from a hot oven to the table. At 1-3/4 inches of depth it holds a single layer rather than a stack, which suits gratins, roasted vegetables, sheet-style frittata and anything that wants surface area for browning instead of depth for liquid.

It is the serving size of the family, sitting above the 10-inch FH-10 and well above the 7-inch FH-7, and it ships six to a carton because of its footprint. Bright white chinaware takes oven heat and comes back through the dish room without picking up stains from tomato or turmeric. The rim is left plain, so a kitchen can mask the edge with a napkin band or leave it bare on a buffet line.
