A four-inch square sauce dish, one inch tall, holding two ounces. That is enough for soy, a vinaigrette, a chilli oil, a dipping sauce or a pat of butter set beside a bread plate.

It is the shallowest vessel Denmark makes, nearer a small tray than a bowl, which makes it easy to lift and awkward to tip.
