Fourteen inches by seven and a half, with the rim stepped up to a full inch, the DM-314 sits in the middle of Denmark's rectangular platters: two inches longer than the DM-312 and two shorter than the DM-316.

That length covers a whole side of fish, a sliced roast, or a six-portion dessert run without crowding. The taller wall earns its keep at this size, because porcelain flexes as a span grows and a one-inch upright edge stiffens it. Speckled purple floor, plain border. The glaze is matte all through, so service lighting does not bounce off the surface and wash out whatever has been laid on it. Twelve pieces to a case.
