Ten inches is the working dinner plate diameter across American menus, and the DM-110 is Denmark's version of it: a plain round with a seven-eighths-inch upright rim and a wide flat centre for an entree.

The standing edge gives the plate a defined well without a rolled lip, so a jus stays where it was poured and the undecorated purple border frames whatever is plated. Twelve to a carton: it is ordered differently from the seven- and eight-inch rounds, which come three dozen deep; a dinner plate is bought to cover breakage, not stacked by the hundred.
