Seventeen and a half inches of length with a two inch wall is an unusual combination: long enough to front a case bay, deep enough to bank sliced product several layers high without the top of the pile shifting. Pastrami, turkey breast and roast beef can be built up on this tray rather than spread thin.

At 6-3/4 inches across it is wider than the shallow runners but narrower than the 9-1/2 inch piece, so it occupies an intermediate shelf band. Black melamine behind glass puts no colour of its own into the meat, which is the whole requirement of a display surface at a butchery.
