Yanco DB-508 Diamond Black Chinaware 8" x 8" x 7/8" Square Plate, Dark Bronze — Case of 36 (3 dz)

Eight inches square with seven-eighths of an inch of rise. A square plate asks for a different kind of plating from a round one, because the corners are dead space unless you use them, and the shape rewards working on the diagonal or filling three corners and leaving the fourth bare.

At this size it is a starter, a dessert or a cheese course rather than a main. Three dozen to a carton, the largest count among the Diamond Black squares. The corners are where a square plate takes its knocks, so give them a look against your dish rack.
