Two-tone white and brown gives the CO-8-B a different brief from its plain siblings. The brown exterior conceals the marks a browning dish inevitably collects, while the white interior still shows the colour of a sauce. Eight and a half inches long by four and a quarter, holding eight ounces across an eighth over an inch of depth.

The classic use is rarebit browned under a salamander and carried straight out. The shape also suits escargots, a baked egg, a shallow gratin, or a sauced side served alongside a main.
