An oval platter of thirteen by ten and a half inches, the middle of three in the Champs pattern and the one that handles a four-person share. Surface area runs close to forty percent above the eleven inch oval, which in practice is the difference between a trout and a side of salmon, or between three skewers and six.

The wall rises an inch and a half, deep enough for a tray of roasted vegetables with their oil. Ten and a half inches of width means it will not fit a narrow pass shelf sideways, so check the window before standardising on it. Carvers tend to favour this length because a knife has room to work without the blade leaving the rim. Twelve to a case.
