Ten and a quarter inches is the standard dinner footprint, and this round coupe plate is where the majority of Cowboy covers get built. An inch of rise at the edge gives sauce somewhere to pool instead of running onto the linen, and it is enough of a lip to catch a knife blade that slips.

Because the coupe shape has no flat rim, the whole 10-1/4 inch face is usable plating area, which a rimmed round of the same outside diameter cannot offer. The gray chinaware is fired dense enough to come off a heat lamp without crazing. Twelve in a case. Both the microwave and the dishwasher are fine.
