Five and a half inches: the short spoon in Black Pearl, scaled for the small bowls rather than the large ones — a ten-ounce miso bowl, a five-ounce sheer bowl, a sauce well. At this length the spoon sits inside a place setting without projecting past the plate, and it handles like a dessert spoon rather than a ladle.
