Yanco BP-4112 Black Pearl Melamine 12" x 4-1/2" x 2" Deep Boat Platter, Black — Case of 12 (1 dz)

A boat form twelve inches long, four and a half wide and two deep: a narrow trough for whole fish, asparagus, spring rolls or a long row of sashimi, with sides tall enough to keep juices from running onto the cloth. The length is what makes it a platter rather than a plate — twelve inches of presentation on a four-and-a-half-inch-wide footprint.

That proportion fits along the edge of a shared table where a round of the same area would not. Melamine holds the elongated curve without the sag a long ceramic boat develops in the kiln, and matte black frames a garnish line cleanly from end to end.
