Seven inches long and two and a half wide, with three two-ounce wells, this is the narrow triple sauce dish in the Black Pearl group — a strip rather than a tray, meant to run along the edge of a plate or a sushi board where a wider piece would not fit. The two-ounce wells suit single-diner portions of soy, ginger and wasabi, in that order, without the volume of the six-ounce double.

Shallow wells also mean a chopstick tip reaches the bottom corner. Melamine holds the thin dividing walls between wells at a scale that would be fragile in porcelain, and the matte black finish keeps sauce rings from showing between courses.
