Fourteen and a quarter inches long by six and a quarter wide, with a one-inch edge — a long narrow platter, and the piece specified when a presentation has to run the length of a table rather than sit in the middle of it.

The proportion is a shade over two to one, so it holds a full row of eight or ten plated items with a margin at each end, or a whole fish laid out straight. Compared with the 12" x 5-1/2" it is more than two inches longer and three-quarters of an inch wider, which is a second row of garnish. Twelve pieces to a case. Melamine keeps a platter of this length rigid and light; the matte black face gives a buffet line a dark base that does not reflect the warmers overhead.
