Yanco BP-1007 Black Pearl Melamine 7" Round Plate, Black — Case of 48 (4 dz)

Seven inches across, this round plate sits between the 6" dessert size and the 9" salad size. It is the appetizer and side-plate diameter: a wedge salad, a cheese portion, four pieces of nigiri, a bread service for two.

A 7" round is also a common choice as an under-plate — set beneath a soup cup or a rice bowl it frames the piece and catches what runs over. Yanco builds it from melamine, so it survives the stack-and-slide handling that a plate of this size gets in a tray-return system, and the matte black body does not show the fine scratching that gloss picks up. Supplied in cases of 48, four dozen, which matches the rate at which a mid-size dining room turns small plates.
