Yanco BM-506GR Birmingham Melamine 6-1/2" x 1-1/4" Deep Dish 12 oz, Green Interior and Black Exterior — Case of 48 (4 dz)

Six and a half inches across with an inch and a quarter wall, holding twelve ounces — the size an appetizer course usually wants when it is not a shared board. The green interior earns its keep under pale food: hummus, a white bean purée, a poached egg.

Black on the outside. Birmingham's brushed melamine does not telegraph fork marks the way a smooth gloss surface does, which keeps the dish looking presentable long after it has stopped being new. Where a kitchen runs the whole Birmingham range, this is the size that absorbs the overflow from both of its neighbours when a service runs long. Four dozen to a carton.
