Yanco BM-4004CL Birmingham Melamine 4" x 1-1/4" Sauce Dish 4 oz, Clay and Black — Case of 72 (6 dz)

The clay interior carries a terracotta warmth that suits mezze service — labneh, harissa, a spoon of olives — where a cooler gray would flatten the food. Four inches across and a shade over an inch deep, the dish takes a four-ounce portion with room to work a spoon.

Black on the outside draws a clean edge around the clay when the piece sits on a wooden board, and the brushed texture catches light the way unglazed pottery does, without the weight or the chipping. Melamine survives the bus tub; terracotta does not. Six dozen travel in a carton.
