Yanco BM-209GR Birmingham Melamine 9-5/8" x 6" x 1" Deep Oval Plate, Green Interior and Black Exterior — Case of 24 (2 dz)

Green on an oval is less common than green on a circle, and a 9-5/8 inch deep oval is an easy way to break up a table of rounds without rewriting the whole service.

Oval plate, green well

Length runs to 9-5/8 inches and width to six, which is a single-portion footprint. One inch of depth handles a sauce. The black outer wall and green interior match the other green Birmingham pieces, so the oval plate mixes into a round service without the two colours fighting each other. Melamine keeps the narrow ends from chipping, which is where this shape fails in ceramic.
