Yanco BM-107GR Birmingham Melamine 7-1/2" x 7/8" Round Plate, Green Interior and Black Exterior — Case of 48 (4 dz)

Green against black is a high-contrast pairing, and on a 7-1/2 inch round it does much of the styling for you. A plain green salad, a few leaves of herb, and the plate has already given the course a frame. There is nothing printed on it; the colour is the decoration.

Brushed green, 7-1/2 inches across

The texture is brushed rather than smooth, which hides water spotting between wash cycles and gives the surface something to catch light on. Depth is 7/8 of an inch, which is appetiser territory. Melamine takes the knocks of bussing and stacking that thin porcelain does not, and the colour runs through the body, so a scuff does not flash white underneath.
