The BK-002 is a small oval baking dish meant to travel from oven to table without a transfer. Seven inches long, four across and an inch and a quarter deep, it takes eight ounces: a single portion of scalloped potatoes, a baked egg, a warm fruit crisp, a gratin for one cover.

White chinaware handles direct oven heat and comes out of a commercial wash cycle unmarked, so cooking, service and cleaning all happen in the one dish. Within the BK oval bakers it runs longer than the 5-1/2 inch BK-005 and the 6 inch BK-006 while staying shallower than either, which suits anything wanting surface area for browning rather than depth for liquid.
