Yanco AG-3007 Agate Chinaware 6-3/4" x 2-3/4" Soup Bowl 24 oz, Beige — Case of 24 (2 dz)

Six and three quarter inches across and two and three quarters deep, this soup bowl carries twenty-four ounces. Roughly two fifths as deep as it is wide, which is the proportion hot liquid wants: a tall column gives up heat more slowly than a wide shallow pool of the same volume.

Twenty-four ounces makes a generous single serving or a shared starter for two. The wall runs near enough to straight that a spoon can be drawn up the side to clear the last of a broth without chasing it around. Beige color glaze on a chinaware body that takes a microwave reheat in its stride. Dishwasher safe. Two dozen to the case.
