Yanco AD-9014 Ardis Melamine 4-1/8" x 2-3/4"H Soup Mug - 12 oz, Tan with Speckles — Case of 48 (4 dz)
A soup mug is a wide, low mug you can eat out of with a spoon, and the 12 oz Ardis version measures 4-1/8" across by 2-3/4" tall. The handle means it leaves the pass hot and arrives without a saucer; the width means a soup spoon reaches the bottom without tipping the rim.
Twelve ounces is a full soup course — chowder, bisque, tortilla soup, chili, oatmeal at breakfast, or a large coffee on a diner counter. Yanco runs this same 4" by 2-3/4" soup mug at 12 oz in its Accessories line. The smaller AD-9016 takes 8 oz in a body 3/8" shorter. Speckled beige melamine will not chip at the handle joint, which is where china normally dies. Cases hold 48.
