Yanco AD-214 Ardis Melamine 14" x 10" Oval Platter, Tan with Speckles — Case of 12 (1 dz)
Fourteen inches by ten is a catering oval: a whole roast chicken with its garnish, two dozen sliders, a sliced side of salmon, or the cheese and charcuterie end of a reception table. This is the size at which an oval stops being a dinner-service piece and starts being a display surface.
Against the 12" by 9" it gains two inches of length and an inch of width — roughly thirty percent more area to lay out on. Against the 16" by 12" it is two inches shorter and will still drop into a standard sheet-pan rack, which the larger oval platter will not always do. Melamine carries a fraction of the weight of ceramic at this size, so staff can move two loaded. Cases hold 12.
