Yanco AD-211 Ardis Melamine 11-1/2" x 8" Oval Platter, Tan with Speckles — Case of 24 (2 dz)

At 11-1/2" by 8" this Ardis oval crosses the ten-inch line and works as a platter: a shared starter for a table of four, a half-dozen fillets of fried fish, a sandwich with its sides, or a sliced loaf set out on a breakfast buffet.

It shares an outline with AD-221, which is the same 11-1/2" by 8" oval given a 3/4" well; this one is flat, so food sits proud and plates up faster. Against the 12" by 9" oval platter it gives up half an inch of length and a full inch of width, which matters when the pass is already tight. Melamine in speckled beige survives the stacking that chips porcelain. Cases hold 24.
