A sixteen by eleven-and-a-quarter inch oval platter with a low inch-and-a-quarter lip. Long enough to lay out eight to ten portions of carved protein without crowding, narrow enough to fit two abreast on a standard banquet table or down the length of a chafing rail.

The oval shape earns its keep on a buffet where rectangles leave dead corners. Garnish runs along the narrow ends and the serving area stays clear in the middle. Against the eighteen-inch oval in the same family it gives up two inches of reach and comes twelve to a box instead of six, which is easier to store between events.
