The Waring WSB255 is a heavy-duty Big Stik 2-speed immersion blender with a 14-inch sealed stainless steel shaft, rated for batches up to 15 gallons (60 quarts). A 1 HP, 750-watt motor running at 14,000 and 18,000 RPM purees soups, sauces and dressings right in large stockpots, on standard 120V power.

Big Stik 2-Speed Motor Technology

Every Big Stik 2-speed model shares the same 1 HP, 750-watt universal power pack, running at 14,000 RPM on low and 18,000 RPM on high. A color-changing LED on the housing shows which speed is selected at a glance, so cooks always know the blender is in low before lowering it into hot product. Manual mode runs only while the trigger is held; holding the start button for three seconds switches to Continuous ON mode, which lets the operator blend long batches without fatigue.

The power pack has thermal reset protection: if the motor overheats it shuts down and resets after about five minutes of cooling, protecting the motor from burnout. Because the power pack is universal, it accepts every Big Stik shaft length and the stainless whisk, so one motor can be paired with several shafts as menus and batch sizes change.

Controls

On/off rocker switch plus a trigger start. Low and high speeds are indicated by a color-changing LED. Manual mode runs while the trigger is held; hold the start button for 3 seconds to engage Continuous ON mode. Always start in low speed with the blade fully submerged.
