The Waring WDB600X is a commercial cast-iron double burner that pairs a 7.5-inch, 1300-watt plate for fast cooking with a 6-inch, 500-watt plate for simmering and warming. Two Cast-Iron Plates, Two Jobs

Both plates have their heating elements embedded in the cast iron, which spreads heat across the plate for even cooking and quick heat-up. Splitting the wattage between a large and a small plate is a practical choice: the 1300-watt side handles eggs, sautes and boiling, while the 500-watt side gently holds sauces, gravies and soups without scorching.
