Star Pro-Max® 2.0 PGT14I 14" Panini Grill, Grooved Cast Iron Plates, Analog Controls

The Star Pro-Max® 2.0 PGT14I is a 14-inch two-sided panini grill with grooved upper and lower plates made of cast iron. It cooks from 175°F to 550°F with an analog thermostat, and its "flat landing" opening accepts sandwiches up to 3 inches thick. It is available for 120V or 208-240V service; select the voltage above.

Two-Sided Contact Cooking

The upper platen rides on a heavy-duty torsion spring hinge that Star tests to millions of cycles. When it closes, the hinge lets the platen land flat on the product, so sandwiches, wraps, chicken breasts and burgers get even contact and heat from both sides at once, which shortens cook times compared with a flat grill.

Cast iron platens hold a large amount of heat and recover quickly between sandwiches. Grooved plates leave grill marks; smooth plates give full-surface contact for crisp, pressed sandwiches.

Installation & Utility Requirements

The grill ships with a 6-foot cord and plug, so it only needs a matching single-phase receptacle: 120V: 1,800 W, 15 A, NEMA 5-15P; 208-240V: 2,700 / 3,600 W, 13 / 15 A, NEMA 6-20P. The cord exits at the rear.

Set the grill on a sturdy, level, non-combustible counter with room behind it for the platen to open fully, and keep it clear of walls and other equipment as described in the owner's manual.
